Georgia Bariatric Surgeon Opportunity 10442-esa Unique, established and busy General and Bariatric Surgery Practice with offices in the Augusta and Dublin, Georgia seeks a fellowship-trained, board certified Bariatric and General Surgeon to join our active practice. Practice is only comprehensive medical and surgical weight loss center in the Augusta, GA – Aiken South Carolina metro area. Practice currently includes two board certified surgeons who are fellows in the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, two board certified General Surgeons, a board certified Endocrinologist and a board certified Family Practice Physician. We also have a PhD Psychologist and a senior level Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. The individual we seek will have excellent surgical skills with advanced laparoscopic capabilities, exceptional communication and patient engagement skills, and a strong work ethic to provide excellence in comprehensive patient care. We offer a very competitive salary and benefit package, including malpractice coverage, health insurance, paid vacation, CME reimbursement, and a 401K program. Candidate must have an MD or DO degree and be board certified/eligible in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Fellowship Training in Bariatric Surgery is a plus. Significant experience performing Bariatric surgery is required. The vast majority of surgeries are elective. Weekend cases are very unusual. The practice takes minimal General Surgery call. Paid General Surgery call is available at one partner hospital. Our main call responsibility is for our own patients. The practice utilizes a senior board certified General Surgeon as First Assistant.
