RN Program Coordinator needed to provide professional leadership and specialized care to Bariatric and Diabetic patient population. The goal is to optimize patient outcomes, and to improve the quality of life through clinical and educational expertise. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the effectiveness of day to day operations of the Programs in accordance with facility policies, philosophy objectives and standards. The Program Coordinator will also provide patient education to patients and coordinate the development, revision, and implementation of patient education programs, materials, and resources in specialty area. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years nursing with medical surgical areas (preferably in Bariatric and/or diabetic patients). A combination of nursing and/or education experience is preferred. Must have skills in physical assessment, lab data interpretation, technological skills and nursing theory and practice are required. Teaching experience in patient/family and staff education required. Marketing skills preferred. Current Basic Life Support required.
